We’re supporting #makeastand
Domestic abuse can be emotional, financial, psychological, sexual, coercive, online as well as physical. On average two women are killed by their partner or ex-partner every week in England and Wales (ONS, 2018).
We believe that no one should live in fear of violence or abuse from a partner, former partner or someone else in their household. So, we’re supporting the #makeastand campaign from Women’s Aid, the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) and the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).
The campaign calls on housing organisations like us to make specific commitments around the support we provide to people experiencing domestic abuse, and to have these in place by September 2019.
