settle joins partners to mark start of construction work
We were delighted to join partners at Chalkdene Developments to mark construction work beginning on new homes in Welwyn Garden City.
The Leader of Hertfordshire County Council, Councillor David Williams, kicked off building work at a ground-breaking ceremony at the Centennial Gate development.
Chalkdene Developments will provide 21 two, three and four-bedroom contemporary homes at the Centennial Gate development. The development will be delivered by building contractors Lovell Partnerships Ltd and is scheduled to be completed by the Spring of 2021.
On completion, settle will take ownership of the six affordable homes at the development.
Chief executive of settle, Gavin Cansfield, said “At settle, we are committed to providing more affordable homes for people who are struggling to find a place to live. The Centennial Gate development will provide much-needed new homes delivered to a high quality. We’re delighted be working with Chalkdene Developments and look forward to providing the homes for shared ownership and social rent on this site.”
