Help with your rent during coronavirus

We understand that many families and individuals are being affected financially by coronavirus and we know that each situation is different. So, we’ll consider your personal circumstances to find the best ways we can help and support you.
It might be that we look at how and when your rent is paid. We can also help you identify and apply for benefits you’re entitled to, or perhaps tell you about practical, financial and other support available locally.

If you’re self-employed
On Thursday 26 March the Government said that self-employed workers can apply for financial support of up to 80% of your monthly trading profits. Please read the Claim a grant through the coronavirus (COVID-19) Self-employment Income Support Scheme page for more details.
If you’re not eligable for the above grant, please read the Government’s COVID-19: guidance for employees page.
You may be able to claim Universal Credit and/or Employment Support Allowance / ‘New Style’ Employment and Support Allowance.
