#HousingDay 2020
Today (October 7th) is the 8th annual #HousingDay, which marks the positive impact of social housing.
This year’s theme is the importance of home. We know that over the past few months, home has become more important to all of us as coronavirus has changed so many parts of our lives. At settle our priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our residents, colleagues and communities and we know that the work we do to help our customers live comfortably in their homes and to support the communities we work in is more important than ever.
We have been busy providing our landlord services and additional support in partnership with other organisations to help residents, particularly our most vulnerable, and we are proud to share our new film, which reflects this work across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Gavin Cansfield, Chief Executive said: “At settle we understand the importance residents place on feeling comfortable in their home – physically, emotionally and psychologically. As a social landlord we continue to deliver essential services whilst working in new ways to support residents who may need additional help. No-one can predict what the future will look like post COVID-19, what we do know is that our homes have become increasingly important to us all, and we are proud to continue helping our residents to live as comfortably as they can during this difficult time and beyond.”
