Redevelopment of John Barker Place
We’re delighted to launch our new film on the development of John Barker Place on the Westmill estate in Hitchin.
The short film marks the start of work on the development site and gives a detailed overview of how the new buildings will look externally and internally when completed.
We’re also delighted to hear from Bim Afolami, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden; Councillor Martin Stears-Handscomb, Leader of North Hertfordshire District Council and Hitchin Oughton Ward Councillor; and local resident, Jude, about the benefits the development will bring to the Westmill community.

Phase 1 of the development will deliver 37 homes and two commercial units in Summer 2022. Phase 2, which is scheduled to begin in Spring 2022, will deliver 46 news homes in Autumn 2023.
