New director to lead neighbourhood working
We’re delighted to welcome Joe Williams as our new director of housing at settle.
Joe, who was previously Head of Housing Operations at Poplar HARCA, has just joined the team to head-up new ways of working in our communities.
He has 15 years’ experience in the housing sector, having begun his career at Richmond Housing Partnership before moving to Poplar 10 years ago.
Joe said: “I’m delighted to have joined the settle team and helping to build on the great work that’s been done over the last few years.
“settle’s values and commitment to providing the best outcomes for customers are very much aligned to my own.
“By continuing to be pioneering and entrepreneurial, we will carry on providing great services and being a great landlord. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
You can also find out more about Joe in his introductory film.
Joe will play a key role in implementing new ways of working in our neighbourhoods. As part of this, he will oversee the ongoing roll out of #basicallybrilliant – ways of working uniting colleagues across settle to ensure consistent delivery of great landlord services to all residents.
This fresh approach includes the imminent launch of our first neighbourhood plan – for the Westmill estate in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, to coincide with completion of the first phase of the £20 million regeneration programme there at John Barker Place.
Gavin Cansfield, Chief Executive at settle, said: “I am really pleased to welcome Joe. This is a fantastic time to join settle and I look forward to seeing Joe lead our new ways of working across neighbourhoods, to support all residents and create great places to live in.
“I look forward to working with him in our drive to constantly improve. Our focus is to continue being a good landlord, providing excellent services and, importantly, listening to what our customers have to say.”
