World Refugee Day – Anna’s story
Today is World Refugee Day – an international day designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe. It celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their homecountry to escape conflict or persecution.
Teams across settle continually show compassion to residents including to people who have come to the UK from a different country.
Anna and her 6 year old son, Danilo fled the war in Ukraine a year ago in search for a better life. They travelled to Poland and then on to Lithuania, before arriving to the UK.
In this short film Anna shares her story and explains how she found a home through our Temporary Accommodation team.
