Neighbourhood Action Weeks in the Grange: 15 – 26 July
As part of our commitment to investing in neighbourhoods and communities, we’re excited about the upcoming Neighbourhood Action Weeks in the Grange from 15 July to 26 July. This initiative shaped by feedback from residents, to help us to work together to create places where residents can feel proud to live.
Communal repairs and grounds improvements
Across the two weeks, colleagues will be addressing identified communal repairs and making improvements to green spaces. This includes tidying up and cleaning pathways and flowerbeds.
Community action day and partner event
A community action day will take place on 24 July at the Grange Recreation Ground. There will be a skip located at the recreation centre between 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
Residents are invited to bring their unwanted household items along which will be disposed of or passed on to be recycled. For those needing extra assistance, please contact us in advance to arrange a home collection and to let us know what items you wish to send to the skip so we can plan accordingly.
Colleagues from settle will also be available at the Recreation Ground on the same day to offer help with finances and provide information on additional support partners. We also expect to have representatives from the Police, Fire and other organisations dropping by on the day, so please do come by for a chat with us.
Supporting older residents
During these two weeks, members from the local fire service will be conducting Safe and Well visits to our older residents. We will send a letter in advance to those residents with more information about these visits.
Join us
We would be really pleased for residents to join us, or if you would like to stop by and talk to settle colleagues, please do come and chat to our colleagues in the area. If you have any questions or need assistance before then, please contact us or call us on 0330 343 0016.
We’ll continue to keep this website updated with details of this and future neighbourhood action events.
The Big Door Knock – 23 July – 1 August
We are also delighted that our Big Door Knock will take place between 23 July and 1 August. This is an initiative where colleagues, including members of our Executive Team and Board, visit neighbourhoods quarterly to speak directly with residents and gives residents a chance to share their thoughts about their homes and our services as their landlord. The focus of this Big Door Knock will be on what it’s like to live in your neighbourhood in terms of community involvement, sense of community, providing an opportunity to share feedback on the services we provide.
You can find information on our pervious Big Door Knocks on our How we collect your feedback page.
