Rod Cahill starts as Chief Executive at Settle
We are pleased to announce that experienced housing leader Rod Cahill has today, 1st October, started as our interim Chief Executive at Settle. He takes over leadership of our organisation from Gavin Cansfield, who left Settle at the end of September to take up the role of Chief Executive at Moat Homes.
Rod brings a wealth of experience to this position. He has worked in the housing sector for many years, including as Chief Executive at Catalyst Housing for 26 years. He has previously worked as an interim Chief Executive at Sage Housing, where he was able to help it become one of the main for-profit providers of affordable housing in England. He currently holds a role at Shepherd’s Bush Housing Association as a strategic adviser.
Rod Cahill, Chief Executive at Settle said: “I’m pleased to be joining Settle at such an exciting time. I know that the team are focused on embedding the 2030 plan. I’m looking forward to finding out how I can support them in delivering the plan’s purpose and priorities to ensure the best outcomes for residents.”
Sally Veitch, Chair of the Board at Settle said: “On behalf of the Board, we are really pleased to welcome Rod as Chief Executive at Settle. Rod is already well-briefed on our work, having joined our Board and Executive team meetings during recent weeks. With Rod’s excellent track record of delivery across the housing sector, we look forward to progressing delivery of our 2030 plan, ensuring we continue our focus on putting residents first and achieving the best possible outcomes for them.”
