Neighbourhood Plans – have your say on how we deliver our services

settle engagement

We want to hear from residents in three of our biggest neighbourhoods – Jackmans, The Grange and Westmill. We’re currently developing neighbourhood plans for these three communities and feedback from residents is vital so that we can ensure our services are in line with your needs and to support our 2030 Plan.

Our 2030 plan has been developed by feedback from residents, colleagues, and local partners with priorities and commitments shaped by what we know is important to you and your community.

Neighbourhood Plans empower you to have a say in how we deliver the 2030 vision in your area.

How will the Neighbourhood Plans benefit you?

Active presence in the community: We are committed to being visible and engaged in your neighbourhood.

Welcoming and inclusive neighbourhoods: We aim to create spaces where everyone feels at home and proud of where they live.

Strong partnerships: We will build strong relationships with residents and local organisations to provide services that meet the specific needs of your community.

Opportunities for all residents: Your voice is important, and we encourage you to get involved at any stage. This helps ensure that your concerns and ideas are considered throughout the planning process.

Why is your involvement important?

We are relentlessly resident focused. Your feedback ensures that Neighbourhood Plans focus on what matters most to you and your community and helps us to prioritise our resources to make sure we are meeting your needs.

We receive this feedback in many different ways, from events like neighbourhood action days and weeks, our Big Door Knock, settle connect, transactional surveys, tenant satisfaction measures and our Voice of the Resident Panel.

We need your input to confirm if the proposed plans are heading in the right direction and to share what else you’d like to see in your neighbourhood. Your feedback will help us create Neighbourhood Commitments.

What we’re hearing

Feedback from residents across our neighbourhoods has highlighted improvements be made around things like:

  • More communal cleaning
  • Anti-social behaviour concerns
  • More litter picking and improved grounds maintenance
  • Improved bin areas
  • More benches.

Do you agree with any of the above or would you like us to focus elsewhere?

More information about our Neighbourhood Plans can be found on Settle connect  – our online platform with information on how we are listening to you and giving you the chance to engage in what matters most to you.

There are dedicated pages for each neighbourhood – Jackmans, The Grange and Westmill. You can click through to the specific pages and use the tools like an interactive map and ideas board to share your feedback and suggestions.
