Jackmans Called! You said, and we did!
A huge thank you to the Jackmans community for their involvement in the recent Neighbourhood Action Weeks and Big Door Knock visits.
During 16 October to 8 November we hosted many activities focusing on five key areas the Jackmans community said mattered most to them. We gained this feedback through Tenant Satisfaction Measures, transactional surveys as well as previous Neighbourhood Action Weeks and Big Door Knock events,
The five key areas were:
- A call for more community initiatives
- Anti-social behaviour concerns
- More litter picking and improved grounds maintenance
- Improved bin areas
- Residents’ meeting opportunities
Throughout the four weeks, every member of the Settle team took part in an activity.
Through 700 Big Door Knock visits and eight events as part of our Neighbourhood Action Weeks. We created a short video with learnings from Jackmans.
Of course we work closely with key partner agencies and brought many of them together at the Jackmans Community Centre drop-in event to showcase the support and services available to Jackmans’ residents and get answers to your questions.
As part of our ongoing commitment to gathering feedback, we used our Big Door Knock visits to double check the key areas that matter most in Jackmans and to hear more about what else you’d like to see.
We’re currently reviewing all the responses we received during the Big Door Knock, and throughout all the neighbourhood activities. These insights will shape the Jackmans Neighbourhood Plan, which will outline key improvements and priorities for making your community safer, more welcoming, and a happier place to live.
Whilst we’re working hard behind the scenes, we’ll also be holding monthly drop-in sessions at Jackmans Community Centre. These sessions are a great opportunity to meet us in person and stay updated on the progress of the plan. Can’t make it?
