Neighbourhood action events
Our neighbourhood action days and weeks are part of our commitment to investing in neighbourhoods and communities and creating places where residents are proud to live.
These days involve colleagues from teams across settle getting out into neighbourhoods to complete tasks that might include things like litter picking, tidying or painting in communal areas or perhaps planting new garden areas. We’re also delighted to be joined by residents and local partners at many of these action days.
Neighbourhood Action Weeks in the Grange: 15 – 26 July
We’re excited about the upcoming Neighbourhood Action Weeks in the Grange neighbourhood from 15 July to 26 July.
Communal repairs and grounds improvements
Across the two weeks, colleagues will be addressing identified communal repairs and making improvements to green spaces. This includes tidying up and cleaning pathways and flowerbeds.
Community action day and partner event
A community action day will take place on 24 July at the Grange Recreation Ground. There will be a skip located at the recreation centre between 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
Residents are invited to bring their unwanted household items along which will be disposed of or passed on to be recycled. For those needing extra assistance, please contact us in advance to arrange a home collection and to let us know what items you wish to send to the skip so we can plan accordingly.
Colleagues from settle will also be available at the Recreation Ground on the same day to offer help with finances and provide information on additional support partners. We also expect to have representatives from the Police, Fire and other organisations dropping by on the day, so please do come by for a chat with us.
Supporting older residents
During these two weeks, members from the local fire service will be conducting Safe and Well visits to our older residents. We will send a letter in advance to those residents with more information about these visits.
