Get involved

Get involved

We encourage all residents to give your feedback across all that we do at settle. There are a range of ways to have your voice heard – you can see more details and how to get involved in the ways that work best for you using the sections below.

Our commitment is that we will use the feedback we receive to shape and influence our work. We will track activities so that we’re clear on how we have improved services and provide regular updates on this, in particular through our website.

settle connect (digital)

This is our online community open to all settle residents, where you can engage with settle and other tenants to have your voice heard on the topics that are most important to you. This is your place to tell us what we could do better, share your ideas and influence the services we deliver by giving feedback through forums, Q&A sessions, and idea spaces. Whether it’s reviewing a policy or strategy document, regeneration proposals or neighbourhood project, these are just a few examples of the topics we might ask for feedback on through settle connect.
It is easy to sign up to settle connect and once you’re signed up, there is a variety of ways to share your opinions and ideas through quick polls, short surveys, and Q&A spaces where you can reach the decision makers.

How it works

Once you have joined, you will find various project pages on a range of topics.  We’ll let you know when there’s a new activity available and you can choose to take part.

Green Panel

Help make a difference and save the planet

We want to hear from you!

Did you know that homes cause 25% of carbon emissions?

We’ve set ambitious targets to improve the energy efficiency of our homes and make them more sustainable, which should also reduce heating bills and improve their warmth and comfort for residents.

Who are we

The green panel is a panel of residents who work with us on our energy efficiency programme to make homes more energy efficient and ensure we’re doing our bit in the drive for a more sustainable future and help us save the planet!

We meet four times a year and are very keen to increase membership and hear more voices.

Voice of the Resident Panel

The Voice of the Resident panel is a group of 14 residents appointed following an application and interview process. Applications for panel membership are currently closed.

Members bring with them a diverse range of experiences and a great deal of enthusiasm for representing all tenants. They meet regularly with settle colleagues, to discuss, shape and improve our services and hold settle to account.

Members of the panel use their firsthand understanding and experience, alongside information collected from performance measures like the Tenant Satisfaction Measures to make well-informed recommendations.

Become empowered

The Government has launched a training programme that’s empowering social housing tenants including settle residents to hold their landlords to account.

To learn more, read our article Four Million Homes – new resident opportunities and empowerment programme.

We’ve also joined Tpas, the largest tenant engagement organisation in the country. This gives you the opportunity to access benefits including tenant engagement training, specialist advice, housing briefings and a free helpline.

To get started, just click ‘join as a tenant’ on the membership page.
