Stock condition surveys
Every 5 years we’ll carry out a thorough survey of your home. This survey is to check the condition of the property and see if any major maintenance work is needed or will need doing in the next few years.
Major work can include replacing the windows, kitchen, bathroom, roof and other larger jobs like installing insulation.
If work is likely to be needed, we’ll add the property into a future programme of work.
What to expect
When we’re due to carry out a survey of your home, we’ll write to you.
We’ll provide details of the contractor doing the survey and they’ll then arrange a convenient appointment directly with you.
The survey will usually take about an hour and we’ll need to see inside all rooms including the roof space.
You won’t need to tidy up or move furniture, we’re looking at the condition of the structure and components like windows and doors.
The surveyor will also look at the outside of the property including any communal or shared areas.
Your property details will be added to all the information we’re collecting from homes in the area and we’ll use the combined details to plan future programmes of work. You won’t receive any further information in the short term as we’ll provide updates about future programmes of work on this website and in the service updates we send regularly.
